Check every button and the wheel, catch a worn switch that fires twice on one press, estimate how fast your mouse reports, and watch your own cursor path for jitter. Everything happens inside the pad below. Nothing is uploaded.
What a web page can and cannot see
so you know what these numbers are worth- Your DPI, model and vendor are invisible here. USB identifiers are not exposed to ordinary pages, so nothing on this page is read off the hardware.
- Browsers batch pointer movement to the frame rate by default. Test 03 asks for the uncoalesced stream instead, which is closer to the truth but still not a hardware reading.
- Timestamps are deliberately coarsened for privacy. Fine for the 50ms chatter threshold in test 02, useless for microsecond claims.
- Side buttons are optional. If your mouse has three buttons, buttons 4 and 5 staying dark is correct, not a fault.
